GODFATHERS PIZZA

Albuquerque, NM

2012

Godfathers Pizza was making a return to the market. The restaurant chain had a strong following in the 1980’s & 1990’s before closing in Albuquerque. The design team was challenged with generating an identity for the restaurant chain with expectations to open multiple locations throughout the state. We utilized the building as a billboard for branding while generating a unique building style implementing varied materialities to both the interior and exterior of the facility.

The facility generates a unique environment for semi private seating by means of slat walls assisting to define seating areas. The flow beginning at the front door, to the ordering counter, to the seating and through to the exit doors generates a simplistic function critical for fast food service.

The exterior boasts unique colors and materiality to enhance the visual appeal and generate a unique design aesthetic. Recycled exterior metal panels and shadow painted logos with accent lighting generate a marketing appeal unique to Godfathers Pizza. Interior elements unique to Godfathers include wood slat partitions to assist with semi private dining while stained concrete floors, concrete countertops and specialty lighting assist to generate an appealing dining experience while assisting to provide a low maintenance facility.
