This dynamic state-of-the-art Post Editorial Facility desired to generate an atmosphere where writers, directors and executives could collaborate, develop, edit, compose and assemble feature film-making. The facility is located in the heart of the Santa Fe Railyards providing an direct link with an interconnected walking path with access to restaurants, retail, local markets, independent theaters, museums and art galleries.

The facility plans to house various sized sound mixing stages and screening theaters. The theaters range in size from 15-20 seats to the main theater at 250-300 seats which will house premier screening capabilities. Sound editorial bays will encompass facilities for foley & effects, ADR recording, film scoring, sound editing & mix prep.,along with QC. layback. Similar to the Art Department, editing suites will be setup in an atmosphere conducive to interaction among users while providing exclusive use of facilities with secure access. Additional post suites will include voiceover booths, audio transfer, video services, audio transfer and dvd services. In addition the facility plans to house a scoring stage capable of hosting a full 100 piece orchestra.

The facility seeks to promote integrated, whole-building design practices assisting in the environmental challenge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through a purposeful sustainable design & engineering process within New Mexico’s unique arid & semi-arid climate. Through collaboration and communication, the design teams intent is to maximize sustainability & efficiency.
